Weight today: 174.6
The creator of the diet said that I would know it's working when I don't feel as hungry. For the record, I haven't hit that yet. Skipped my daily chocolate bar yesterday, but more out of a lack of time with 2 meetings and planning on fitting the sugar water in at some point.
What has always made me a little cynical of "diets" in the past, is that people put all the emphasis on whatever they cut out of (or put into) their daily eating list. What I really think makes a diet work, ANY diet work, is the fact that anyone who is going on a diet is usually having a good hard look at what they're eating. They usually start some kind of light exercise plan, which quite often are the ones you stick with and they definitely help. Something I'm going to have to consider is if the weight loss is because of the sugar water and oil that I'm drinking, or is it because I'm actually paying attention to what I'm eating and when I'm eating it. Last night I stopped snacking at a certain time in order to leave the one hour buffer for my spoonful of oil. Ordinarily I wouldn't have cared and may have had chips a half hour before going to bed. And yeah, I know that's bad, but I didn't really care before.
At this point, I want to lose weight, and I don't care what diet plan you're on, Wendy's doesn't help that. Because I'm trying to lose weight, my brain is actively saying "don't eat crap - it's counterproductive". Getting out of the crap-eatting habit will be nice, and I don't think it'll take too much willpower. I eat McDonalds only rarely now, and I actually find it a little gross now (what's with all the salt? yeeeuuuchh!). The big test will be after I lose some weight I will stop the sugar and oil thing, and we'll see what happens to my weight after that.
So, here's do a little drop in my weight, and the hopes this is a continuing trend, no matter what is causing it!
